The Ottawa Public Library (OPL) has a number of Access Passes, which are all part of the Express collection (which means you cannot put them on hold). Access Passes offer free general admission to partnered museums, galleries and other sites of interest in the Ottawa area.
Please continue to think of OPL when planning an outing, and visit one of our open branches to borrow your free Access Pass.
Please Note:
Passes may not be valid for exhibitions or events that have special admission fees. Unlike other items, OPL cannot adjust quantities based on demand because the Library receives limited numbers of these passes from our partner organizations.
The Access Passes available from OPL are:
Artpass
This pass provides free admission to the permanent collection at the National Gallery of Canada.
Canadian Museum of History/Canadian War Museum Pass
Provides access to both the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum
Gatineau Park cross-country ski pass
In partnership with the National Capital Commission. Provides access to the trails of Gatineau Park.
Ingenium pass
Access to Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum and the Canada Science and Technology Museum.
Kanata Nordic Season Pass
Each pass provides free access to Kanata Nordic trails for one family.
Ontario Parks Commercial Vehicle Permit
“Check out” nature at your library! Each pass entitles a vehicle to enter any provincial park for free (depending on parking availability), valid until posted hours of closing.
