Bookmobile love!

From the Neale family:

"My kids and I are “regulars” at the [Cambridge] Bookmobile stop. It’s a highlight of our week, to the point that my 3-year-old asks almost every day if it’s Friday yet!

The librarians greet the boys by name and are all so warm and friendly. [The boys] especially love it when they get to help check out their books and get their hands “beeped” by the scanner. (And for me, the Express shelf is always stocked with something I’m excited to find!!)

Thank you so much for making the library accessible for us. Without the Bookmobile, trips to a permanent library would be a special treat rather than routine, so we are very grateful!"

"I’ve been going to a Bookmobile for about 53 years now.

I used to go when the Bookmobile used to go to St. Thomas Catholic school back in the 70s. […] As a 10-year-old, I’d look forward to it getting hooked up and opened!! We didn’t have the web, so the selection was way more difficult. But I loved it and went on to be a reader all my life.

Now, in 2026, I have four grandkids. We have rediscovered the Bookmobile here in Bridlewood. Our four-year-old just had his first visit to the Bookmobile. And he was blown away!! All of them go to the bigger libraries with their parents but the "book bus" was a thrill.

We are discovering more and more about the Library and all its resources and just love it."
