#LibraryVibes

Beautiful weather, sunshine, laughter, and friendly faces — everything came together on Saturday, October 18, to welcome and enjoy the lovely melodies of Mia Kelly at the Main branch. Nearly 80 guests expressed their delight with warm applause, smiles on their faces, and Mia’s music still echoing in their minds.

The lobby — usually a cozy spot for casual chats and chess games — was transformed into a lively stage for the occasion. The space was packed with people eager to snap photos with our talented performer.

While some headed back to their daily routines, we took the opportunity to ask visitors one simple question: How do you chill at the Library?

Here’s what they shared:

📚 “I bring my daughters here regularly to find age-appropriate books in French, and we’ve never had trouble discovering great reads. My goal is to help them grow in the language and develop their reading skills. While I search for interesting books, they enjoy the games and learning activities available—it’s a perfect balance of fun and education. We find the Library very warm and welcoming. The staff are always kind, helpful, and ready to guide us.”
😊 “I really like this branch — the staff are so friendly, and whenever we can’t find something, there’s always someone ready to help.”
🎮 “I love the Library because there are so many illustrated books, fun activities, and video games!”

📚 "I’ve been coming to the Library since I was a child—my father brought me to my very first event, and I’ve never stopped coming back! Over the years, it’s become a big part of my life. I come here regularly with my friends, spend a lot of time participating in activities like Teen Craft Nights on Tuesdays, and join in on special programs for teens and kids on Saturdays. I even bring my cousins when there are events for younger children.

“For the past 8 years, I’ve also been volunteering here. It’s been such a rewarding experience—meeting so many people, helping with events, and being part of a creative, welcoming community. The Library is a place where you can have fun, learn, make friends, share your ideas, and even contribute something new. I always encourage young people to visit—the Library truly has everything you need to have fun.”

And the best is yet to come! 🎸
