Meet Brock Lee! Our friendly broccoli mascot is hanging out with Rebecca at the Beaverbrook Branch food stand, reminding everyone that OPL is a community hub where people come together to learn, connect, and share.

If your garden is producing more than you can use, consider donating part of your harvest until September 20 to the food stands at the Beaverbrook and Hazeldean branches during regular opening hours. Everyone is welcome to share or take fresh produce!

Join this initiative presented in partnership with the Ottawa Valley Food Security Project, and celebrate with your community the spirit of generosity and connection that grows at your Library branch. Share your harvest, help reduce food waste, and support community members.

Please bring hearty homegrown vegetables that have been brushed free of dirt but not washed so they stay fresh longer.

Explore our collection for inspiration to grow your own vegetables and help your garden thrive.
