As you may know, Learning Express Library has been one of our longest-standing databases.
However, after careful review, we have decided not to renew the subscription. The database will no longer be available after June 30, 2026.
Why we made this decision:
- Consistently low usage over the past several years.
- Content is often outdated – and many sections contain only one or two older ebooks
- Abundant free alternatives now exist, especially for high school STEM content (e.g., YouTube, Khan Academy).
- Citizenship test preparation: The Government of Canada explicitly advises against using third-party materials for the citizenship test. The official and only recommended study guide is Discover Canada, available for free here.

- Online eBooks - We have some e-book study guides and we'll be looking to add more
- Other official websites, such as the government's free citizenship test resources
