Ottawa is a city of storytellers — and on November 15, we’re throwing them a party. Join us for the 2025 Ottawa Book Awards Ceremony, where words take centre stage at Les Lye Studio Theatre, Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe.
For 40 years, these awards have celebrated the stories born right here in our city: fiction that moves us, non-fiction that opens our eyes, and voices in both English and French that remind us just how vibrant Ottawa’s literary scene really is.
Why you’ll want to be there:
🎤 Charlotte Gray – Keynote Speaker: Bestselling historian, two-time Ottawa Book Award winner, and one of Canada’s most beloved storytellers. She’ll share her thoughts on the importance (and vulnerability) of writers in the age of AI.
🏆 Live winner reveals: Find out who takes home this year’s awards in English and French fiction, and non-fiction titles.
🎉 A celebration with flavour: After the ceremony, enjoy a reception catered by La Bottega and browse the books of finalists and winners. A special thank you to The Spaniel’s Tale and Le Coin du livre.
It’s free, it’s open to all, and it’s guaranteed to inspire. ✨
