This fall, connect with your community through a love of reading. Ottawa Public Library offers programs for you to meet other readers in your community and resources to support your own book club.

Why Join a Library Book Club?

Library book clubs are more than just discussions about plot twists and character arcs. They’re a chance to:

  • Meet new people with shared interests
  • Stay motivated to read regularly
  • Engage in thoughtful dialogue in a welcoming, inclusive environment

Whether you're a lifelong reader or just getting back into the habit, book clubs offer a low-pressure way to enjoy reading and connect with others.

Book clubs are offered in English and French at branches across Ottawa. View the Programs and events page to find a book club near you and learn how to join. If you have any questions , contact OPL.
