In 2014, the Ottawa community donated to the Ottawa Public Library either directly or through the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA). OPL extends its appreciation to the many donors who have provided financial support to the Library. The extraordinary generosity of our donors plays a critical role in growing OPL’s programs and services for our community.

Message from the President, Colin Plows
“It is certainly noteworthy that we continue to be the highest revenue generating Friends group in Canada. So much more can be accomplished when communities band together and lend a helping hand. It is thanks to the shared contributions of FOPLA members and volunteers that we are able to increase users’ enjoyment of our city’s branches through programs and materials funded by FOPLA dollars. On behalf of our association, thank you for the time, energy, and heart that you contribute to making our Library a better civic institution.”
