March 20 marks the celebration of the International Day of La Francophonie, established in 1970 in Niamey (Niger) by the Agency of Cultural and Technical Cooperation, which later became the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. On this day, 54 states and governments around the world highlight the importance of the French language and organize various festivities.

This year, the theme chosen by the Organisation internationale de La Francophonie is "I educate myself, therefore I act." The Library is fully committed to its role in supporting education by offering a wide range of resources and educational tools in French.

In the OPL collection, you will find numerous books for learning French, school materials in French, as well as a variety of board books for children.

Each year, the Library offers nearly 700 programs in French across its various branches.

Bilingual librarians are also available to assist you with your reading selections and research.

With your library card, you have free access to books, movies, CDs, DVDs, events, and online resources in French.
